Roy Scheider from Jaws has died

Roy Scheider, the actor from Jaws, has died at the age of 75.

Roy was a beloved actor but was best known for his role as the Police Chief who pursued a rogue Great White shark in the waters off a resort town.

One of his lines from the movie, "We're gonna need a bigger boat.", was voted one of the top 35 lines of all movies by the American Film Institute.

The hospital has not released his cause of death.
