Hulu.com - TV on your PC

Hulu.com - TV on your PC

There have been advertisements for Satellite TV on your PC services for a long time...usually selling for between $50 and $100 US.

Now, for FREE, you can go to www.hulu.com and see a whole selection of TV shows for free. There are movies, excerpts, clips, and entire episodes.

The variety is enormous, though there are holes in the content.

For example, you can search on your favorite show, and only find a few epsiodes from each season.

It's worth checking out, but don't think you'll be throwing away your remote any time soon.

Hulu.com is bringing TV to your PC, but it's just a first step in what is going to be a long journey.

iPhone SDK - Movie, Music, Game and TV Downloads

Apple unveiled their SDK (Software Development Kit), which will allow third parties to create apps that can run on the iPhone.

This is being touted as new, but some third-party apps have already been available for many months. For example, iPhone Nova has been used by iPhone users to download games, music, and even Movies and TV shows.

However, the new SDK does have a few features that previous developers haven't had available...specifically the interaction with the touch screen.

From Apple's press release:

Scott Forstall, Apple’s vice president of iPhone Software, explained that Apple had to build a version of its development framework, Cocoa. Dubbed Cocoa Touch, the new development tools are based on the touch interaction with the iPhone instead of the keyboard and mouse interaction users have with a desktop computer.

To see the full features of Apple's SDK, visit the iPhone home page. To learn more about downloading Movies, Games and TV onto your iPhone, visit the iPhone Nova site.
